- Change a Roth IRA contribution into a Traditional IRA contribution

To remove an excess contribution from your IRA, complete the IRA Distribution Form.
This form is for recharacterizing a Roth IRA contribution into a Traditional IRA contribution and vice versa. A recharacterization is different than a conversion. A conversion has a separate form.
